What Video Calling Platform Syncs Best With Dubsado?

Finding The Best Video Calling App For Your Biz (And Budget)

Remember when video calls were something you only did with distant family members or the odd remote interview? Not anymore. Now, they’re the new norm in the business world for everything from meeting with potential clients to leading workshops to collaborating with industry experts.

But with so many video call apps available, how do you pick the right one that meets your needs, fits your budget, and syncs seamlessly with your Dubsado setup?

That’s what we’re digging into in this blog. I’ll break down what you need to know about the most popular platforms and guide you through integrating them with Dubsado for a smooth client experience.

(Want to compare Dubsado with other CRMs? I’ve got the blog for you!)

Let’s get to it!

How To Integrate Video Calling With Dubsado

There are two main ways to connect your video calls with Dubsado to make meetings a breeze. Both options have their upsides and considerations. But no matter which route you choose, remember syncing your Google Calendar with Dubsado is a must to schedule calls and avoid any meeting conflicts.

Option 1: Setting Up Video Calls Directly In Dubsado

If you like keeping everything tied up neatly within Dubsado, direct integration might be right up your alley.

How To Set It Up:

  1. Head to your Dubsado settings and enable ‘Video Conferencing’ in the Integrations tab
  2. Then go to your Dubsado Scheduler and check ‘Add Video Conferencing’ in all of your scheduler templates
  3. Your video call app will generate a one-time meeting link for each session which gets plugged straight into your and your client’s calendar
  4. Add the Appointment Conferencing Link Smart Field to your appointment confirmation and reminder canned emails

Things To Think About:

Pros: Directly integrating your video call tool with Dubsado is super convenient because each meeting is tailored to the client and automatically synced to their calendar with the meeting link.

Cons: A new URL will be generated if a meeting gets rescheduled. Keeping track of the different meeting room URLs for each client may become tricky.

Platforms: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and GoToMeeting

Option 2: Adding A Personal Room Link To Your Emails

Prefer to keep things consistent with a familiar meeting spot? Using a personal room might be more your speed.

How To Set It Up:

  1. Create a personal room in your chosen video calling app
  2. Do not enable video conferencing in your settings or Dubsado scheduler templates
  3. Copy the URL from your video calling platform and add it as a link to your appointment confirmation and reminder emails

Things To Think About:

Pros: Your meetings always happen in the same place so you (and your clients) aren’t fumbling around with new codes or links.

Cons: The meeting link doesn’t automatically land in your client’s calendar – just their email – unless you add it to your Dubsado Scheduler Template in the location spot. And if your scheduler is public on your website, anyone could pop into your personal room!

Which Video Calling App Wins Out?

Alright, we’ve taken a look at the top-performing video calling apps that sync up smoothly with Dubsado, but the question remains: which one should you choose?

Here’s a little insight from my experience: I’m a big fan of Zoom. I appreciate having a personal room for all my meetings. Plus, the waiting room feature lets me control when people can join a meeting.

But choosing a video calling platform isn’t just about going with the most popular option. It’s about what suits your specific needs. Whether your clients are tech-savvy or not, whether your budget is big or small, or whether you need fancy features like templates and AI – there’s a perfect fit for you.

Each platform has its strengths, so I encourage you to explore your options and test them out before committing.

No matter which tool you land on, I’m here to make its integration with Dubsado easy as pie. And if you want support with choosing the right tool or clarifying your client experience, then a Client Experience Intensive could be the perfect fit for you.
